Indeed. It's not replacing, and if GG isn't a mode you've ever played you can either play it now or just continue not. I just want to see the SDK. ^^

Got the beta SDK with the update.

Need to adjust the shadow contrast somehow for the outdoor CSM as it looks really faint. Also I noticed that using env_projectedtextures doesn't cast selfshadowing onto viewmodels :/ I'd thought they'd fix that with the inclusion of the CSM. Also notice the lovely Ambient Occlusion awww yeahhh.

Its possible there is self shadowing on the view models and you can't see it. Projectedtexture's shadow map detail is directly in front if the light. CSM is based on the camera, so shadow map detail is in front of the player. If there is not enough shadow map coverage of a object/geometry, then it might not get a shadow and self shadowing needs even more coverage.

Got the SDK as well. I'm working until 3:30 pm EST then I have the next two days off. Gonna be mapping like crazy.

There isn't some mystical way of getting this sick new compiler and VRAD system into the OB engine, is there?

New compiler? I'm 99% sure it's the Portal 2/Alien Swarm tool chain. The dynamic lighting was implemented purely in game code (and shaders, obviously)

No. The map format is changed, and older revisions die trying to load those.
