Yeah, I know. But I can dream.

That is probably the reason their games run slower on Macs. Because they only recently went over to that platform.

Especially as all of their graphics programmers will know HLSL a lot better than GLSL. Also, they won't drop Xbox support.

I've been an absent lazybones with little to show for my prior experiments, but...

With this new news, is anyone interested in creating a set of plugins for Netbeans that make it into a Source-Engine powerhouse? Y'know, on account of it being an IDE available on multiple operating systems?

My over-ambitious imagination is going towards things like syntax highlighting, autocomplete, error reports, automatically detecting that an MDL is stale when a material changes, show developer-wiki pages as documentation next to keywords, etc. (Way more man-hours and expertise than I have alone.)
