How the site looked when I joined! News include "Black Mesa Update" and "New Team Fortress 2 IGN Preview". I won't say I remember it like it was yesterday, but it sure doesn't feel like 5 1/2 years. Happy birthday!

Vlad was the owner of a site called 69th vlatitude. The site was similar to interlopers in set up (hl1 mapping, tutorials and forum). One day, Vlad was gone. Like, really, gone. The forum started to get raped by bots and bugs, but the only moderator available was unable to do much (only deleting threads over and over again). Meanwhile, the site continued to exist (the owner was still paying the bills) but Vlad never came back. Then, all of a sudden, he came back in a flash, gave supermoderator power and site backaccess to one of the moderators, and vanished again. The moderator started to redesign the site, adding hl2 (wow) tutorials, but soon thereafter he too vanished and slowly the site died out. Well, half of the site ended up on interlopers anyway.

it makes me wonder what will happen to this community in the future. this is a pretty unique place and definitely my favorite place to hang out.

I dont think we'll die out, we'd be dead sometime after hl3 or ep3.
