Final Escape Media Update

Postby AcX on Wed Jul 13, 2005 11:58 am

The HL2 mod Final Escape has recently updated their ModDB profile with a nice bunch of map screenshots.

"Let me start by saying thank you all of you for being patient with us while we update and progress with the mod Final Escape. As most of you are no doubt aware we sadly lost our forum facility last week and have not got a back-up or replacement yet, at which point we ask anyone who wants to communicate with us do so via Mod Database, email and or msn. I will reply to everyone who communicates!"

Congratulations, any constructive criticism now?

I think it looks like its well under way, yes the building/tower in the last shot seems a little uneven and out of sorts but you have to bear in mind this mod is still under development.

Shouldnt be so quick to criticise lads/ladettes...

I think the offending tower would look much better like this (click, btw). granted, my brushwork there is pretty fugly and there is alot I could do in terms of optimisation, but you get the general idea. Use the textures to your advantage.

I think the cylinder shape (with around 10 faces) gave all of its appeal away :(

the last shot does look pretty harsh, but the first shot I think shows real promise! prolly would of been a more successful plug without that last image

I'm tired of mods that fill every area with about 10 spotlights. It's unrealistic and unnecessary. The brushwork in the first 2 shots is good though and I like their use of props.
