D.E.A.D Media Release for July

A new update from D.E.A.D mod has brought in a ton of new media for the month, including map screenshots, prop and weapon model renders, and the first glimpse of their zombie model.

"In this media we wanted to showcase the models that our team have been working on
The models range from weapon, player and prop... Also included are pics of some new concepts from RobotBigFoot and a couple maps, subway by Bambi and farmhouse, dead_farmhouse is still a very early WIP but it is coming along great thanks to the talent of DjBourgeoisie...

The team is currently looking for more skinners, animators, texture artists, programmers and level designers, so if you feel up to it head down to their site at http://www.deadmod.com/ and read the rest of the update. You can also inspect the rest of the mammoth media update, these are just a few samples.

awsome, but all the zombie mods are rushing now, bad. I like the maps, they both look spooky.

Even though it is a zombie mod I am quite impressed with the new update. I still think NMRIH looks better but I still gotta give props to the D.E.A.D team. Great update.
Their first album was better.

were not rushing.... even if this mod takes 2 years to complete, our goal is quality rather then quantity, this is all work that was done in the last month or so... we have enough modelers to get alot done, its the skinning department that is in need of help, along with animations and textures.

that shotgun got no edjector port D:!
or if it got one, its on the wrong side (I'd hate to have the shells right in my face)..

the farm looks dead, you just gotta add some spokey low amb. sound and it will be great I'd say.

This mod is rad! Those models are amazing. The maps look great! This mod is on my "look forward to until death" list! I don't know why people are always putting down zombie mods, though. I think it's one of the best mod/game styles out there! Who doesn't like getting scared shitless and blasting those stupid, undead creatures to sh**?!?! Keep up the good work!

Its an Ithaca shotgun, you load it from the underside, ejects from the same place ;)

Anyways, you might want to go with some major customisation for the subway map. As far as I'm aware, NMRiH, Hl2:Ho, DOTD all have subway maps, and all use similar texture sets (including this one) so they all really look pretty similar.

lol ya i noticed the link size when i posted :P

Ya we are putting our newly hired texture artist to work, what we have goin for the subway map however is our own models, not the hl2 ones they had in their version. It might take a while but eventually every single model/texture will be custom. However on that same note, our first public beta will be 100% custom content. :wink: Or at least thats our goal...

Darn, I wish I could take part in the developement of this amazing mod! I can map, but not very well, not to mention I have a mod to manage. DARN I just wish I could help somehow! :cry:

No work being done on the mod right now is for anything other than our first beta, we have a set list of to do's are are well on our way to our first release. Mappers are the only exception to the rule, the first beta will feature a new gametype I developed called "Survival" and I will be releasing the official gameplay doc next month with that media update. Thx for all the feedback.
