Well they are mostly different functions with brushes. You can do them all in hammer. But QuArK makes it a lot easier. I actually really like QuArK but still use hammer because it's what i know the best. I would learn QuArK but i am currently learning different modelling packages.

hmm i played a quark map before, it was actually very good. It's just the the mix of textures that kinda make the game look weird.

But quark maps are good!

I would learn quark, but hammer is so much simpler, mainly because i know it. But i guess as it is compatable with alot of games, ill download, but not use it until im forced.

I tried Quark for a while after i heard that Blazeeer uses it. Quark feels more like a modelling tool to me than a mapping program (or at least feels more like a modelling program than a mapping program does). It put more emphasis on vertices and edges rather than just having the "brush". Alot of Q3 mappers prefer it over QERadiant. I think they're insane.

As i keep saying. Mapping tools are slowly becoming more and more like modelling tools. And tbh it's not a bad thing a all. You can do a lot more with the tool sets presented to you with a modeller then a mapper.

To run steam in offline mode you have to change the options so that steam saves your account information.
