Well from looking through the gcf filenames it's apparent that there is more than just one player model for each team (which quite a few people were worrying about)

i honestly wasent pulling your leg, when they ment encryption, i just thought it was the bloody gcf file, but the main files like gameinfo.txt motd.txt,etc are encrypted. unless someone knows what encryption they are, than its impossible.

what i was gona do anyway is just download one of the emporio patches and use the launcher.exe & launcher.ini to work it... no such luck now though :x

Duh, even if you get past the encryption you will need 999999mb ram to run DoD: Source.

Another one of Steam's fail safe mechanisms. Quite ingenious.

Is this the actual install of the game? Or will we have to do that annoying update thingy or what? Also if its already installed then cant people hack and make it playable? Hmmmmmmm.........

i will say this i quite odd, i just started the pre-load and 2 min after it says that im 81.3 % done :shock: with a 1024/128 connection :-D

It's only like a weekish away so meh, i bought it and preloaded now i'll just be playing CS:S till DoD goes. Dod > CS

taking so long... went to 80% now it's slow, It's now at 89%
Is DOD:S free for collectors edition-buyers?

i have no idea, i bought the australian collecters edition from harvey norman (if there is different editions for countries)

50% say yes and 50% say no, to getting it.

so im pretty confused.

Hmm. I don't know why but, I have a feeling that DoD might just suck completly.

I really liked the origional, but i have a gut feelign that source isnt goign to be that great
