I bet it will be a total failure, You will need a software company to make the cd- roms, boxes, manuals, etc.

This will cost a lot of money for the whole team, and distibuting it to store shelves all around the world will be very hard.

I really dont think this idea will be succesful, even if they have all the money they need. They need to think things over twice, before they say they are going retail.

That's where EA comes in.

NightFall was approached by a publisher once... but then they found out how much a Source license cost and ran away very fast.

Do you honestly think they haven't already thought about all the risks?

I move like this takes a lot of work and i dare say the team are putting that in.

And as for CDs etc....why would they need them? This is exactly what steam was set up for.

Yeah, exactly. I don't understand why people are making such a fuzz about it. Once that game pops up in Steam, you will all be surprised how many people will automatically buy it just because it appeared in Steam.

And to be honest, the Source media they have looks just absolutely brilliant.

Im not a big fan of it, it gets a bit too old fast. I wont be buying it.

i actually have played it. stfu. i know you go around killing people, but gamer fans think it's stupid and little kids think it's a kids game because the models are so cartoony.

Untrue. There is that one FPS where it was like a comic Sellshaded. Was it called like 17 or 13? i dont know, cant remember, but i heard it was very good.

XIII - 13, was actually pretty poor but the cell-shading seemed to fool a lot of people.

The simple solution here is to play the Ship for HL1, if you like it or enjoy it enough then spend a tiny bit of pocket money and get the source version with the full bells and whistles.

Personally I wont be upgrading unless theres an obvious and major improvement, I played the first one for a very long time and really enjoyed it but grew tired after a while. Still its a quality game and if the team feels its good enough to warrant some cash then thats they're choice and we'll see if it pays off.

Sorry Mike-o but the more you post the more of an idiot you look.

This game is excellent. From what i've seen the people who slam it and say it's too kiddie are the people who just don't understand it.

If you dislike it fine. no problem not everything is to everyones taste but the way you just blindingly say it's for kids and it's a pile of shit. Well that's the kind of stupid comment i see which makes me want to drown things.

Anyway as for cartoony graphics. Stop being a complete idiot. Get a clue. Have a look around and see the real world rather then the one you make up in your head from day to day. PLSKTHXBAI.
