Kaneth, a nice amount of experience and yes a little difficult to break into an very tight night and expensive industry... I lead a mod call "Star Trek: Enterprise - Temporal Cold War" with professionals, semi-professionals and fans alike and if you would like to pop over to our forum and see if you would be interested in getting some more mapping and texture experience, let us know on our recruitment section... we are always looking for reliable mappers and artists... great work and hope to see you soon...

Your experience is really impressive... But your work isn't.

Sorry for that, but experience is not everything. You have to show something too. And in this case, your site offers nothing.

Im not denying i took the design from that picture. Alls I'm saying is the reason I've used that image on my website is because it is what is engraved on the side of my PC Case. The portfolio was only created on the 15th of this month, so it isn't as if I've had months to work on it. The image will be changed to something I have made when I get chance.

If it would make you happy SpaceJesus, I will credit valve in the header.

My experience isn't impressive imo. It wouldn't get me a job

My work is coursework from the first year of a computer games design course at university, before which I knew nothing about games design. So what you see is 6 months of coursework from knowing nothing. Excluding the current WIP.

I intend to create work of a far higher standard in my own time when I aren't confined to the coursework guidelines for what I can and can't create.

Thanks all for feedback and criticisms, as you can see they have been taken into account, and I'm working on them.

Yeah, man, but this is your portfolio. I hope it isn't another coursework ? If not, why don't you show something better ? You should do this :)

Btw gl on your way to game developing! Work hard, work smart :D

The only games work I have so far is what I have created for University, and if you want the truth I spent to much time in the student union bar when I should have been spending time doing work.

I will improve my work which will replace the older work when its finished. I just wanted to get some of my work online.

Erm, those level and game documentation things could use allot more detail, especially the game.

Also, a showreel is meant to show more then just one room. =)

I do like your office room, that is very nice, how long did it take you to create all that and did you make all the textures?

The matrix lobby on the other hand is very plain and boring. :s

I watched all the motion capture videos and... well, take them off to be honest. Most of the animations are horrible with people falling through floors and footwork kinda floating between frames. Crazy stuff. I've not done any motion capture but I'd expect something much better from it.

Also, why did you give the biped only one toe?

Sorry if that seems harsh, you are definitely coming along, especially for what? Two years of learning? You should stick to one thing for the moment such as mapping in a certain engine before you experiment too much with others in my opinion.

Good luck with it all =)
