Hey guys,
since I only crawl forward making the maps for my other engagement(s) which is increasingly frustrating, I decided in a dark moment to see if my inspiration returns for one of the projects I wanted to finish last year, but couldn't; Nuremberg's old town in the state of March 1945 as a part of the DoD:S-map-universe
.
I started working on the first version in 03/2006 and released it four months later. Since it was my first source project, it looked like a 1.3 port and with more than 11500 x 7000 hammer units or 50000 square metres it was really way too big for even 32 player servers.
The 100% new Nuremberg here comes to half this size & a lot closer to the "real" city, since I visited it a couple of times and got a better impression of what needs to be where. Plus, I was able to get some photo material which I made lots of textures and sceneries of.
I started working on it in march 2007 and never stopped working on it for more than a week or two, which explains a (not-quite-low) six-digit count of faces and one or two VERY FULL! entries in the compile log... ;p
If you feel like downloading it so you get a feeling for the athmosphere and ambience of it, you can get the .zip at my homepage (

If you are curious about anything else, please feel free to send me a pm
.
Okay... back to work now on the other projects, hopefully with a bit more success than in the last months.
