I woke up today with a simple goal to achieve: to make my first Source model. After a while I came up with an idea for a parking ticket machine. I had to learn how to create all the files needed to compile the model and how to configure the QC and VMT files. Thanks to great General Vivi's tutorial all went smooth.

I hope someone will find it useful. Next time I'll try to make the textures better.

Here is what I have after a few hours:

PARKING TICKET MACHINE
Created By - Novorod

Model Type - prop_static
Polycount - 420
Texture - 1024x1024 (Defuse)

PS. Outstanding models Deathmonkey.

Very nice Novorod. A nice poly count as well! Would have been useful for the underground compo :P

Judging by the title this is a share your models section, not a request section.

I'll hopefuly get a model in here soon. Got Steam fixed so... hurrr!

Thanks. I'm just doing my best. I really enjoy learning new things (softwares, technologies). That's all.

Although I like to work with 3ds and ZBrush, I've just picked up XSI. I want to see if it can make creating props easier. ;-)

I was playing with modeling for Source once again. This time I wanted to learn more about QCs and VMTs. Also, I wanted to make something very low-poly and see if it will be looking good at all. I'm quite satisfied with the final result.

Here's what I've got. One-evening model.

A great model but I think the reflectivity needs some toning down, too shiny if you ask me.

Yup, I'll try to do something with it. I'll post an updated version of Trashcan along with new Ticket Parking Machine (with spec added). Soon.
