And what made you think this thread would be the right place? This is a competition thread with a specific purpose.

We've got an Introduction Time section AND a Level Design Help section, those are part of the HL2 Editing Forum. And to top it all there's big Tutorials button in the top navigation.
Welcome to Interlopers :)

skybox everything :)

scale it down to ( ctrl M SCALE x: 0.0625 y: 0.0625 z: 0.0625)

perfect range of sight, just finish all brushwork first. (as for texturing, scale it down to 0.02 for each x/y)

hope that helped

Does anyone know of a free to use tree/plant pack out there. Half-Life and Counter-Strike aren't exactly big in the flora department.

So far ... I will have trouble to finish with as much detail as I want. My next exam is Tuesday ^^ But I will try nevertheless.

FFS can someone fix that link :-D
- I (904) tried, but the second one gives an error: "The image “http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/mapbattle3200490000nw1.jpg/1/w1680.png” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors."

I like it, a scene with buildings on the bridge accros the river always look sexy.

Something is wrong with that bush. The lighting doesn't seem to affect it. I don't suppose there is a way to fix it?
