Is that all brushwork? :!:

From what I can see, it appears to be.

A note for the mapper though, I don't like the front door. It looks like it's the storefront door or something from the hl2 plaza. Change it to something more wooden.

Edit: Ok then, as opposed to double posting. I'll just edit this post and show you my new ceiling. I think it looks a lot brighter and less dreary, and follows the idea of the roof and beams etc. Sooo... Here's the pic, and I really need comments on this since I'm not sure if it's really the best idea as of yet.

Beams that just vanish into the wall? They have to have some base, best other beams on the walls ... ;)

How should I add the beams? Like, other ibeams or something? The ref pic didn't really have supports or anything running along the walls...

Thanks for the comment :D

EDIT: Ok, I think I'm going to redo a lot of the windows. Thin them mostly... That should in theory bring out the thickness of the sections in between and maybe get rid of the support issue.

Here's some WIP, and I just realised how stupid it was to add smoke on that rocket. It's supposed to look like it happened a long time ago, so I'm gonna remove that and add some overgrowth on the house and the rocket.

Why is there a dirt hole behind the house when the rocket wasn't there?

i presumed because it didn't just fall straight down, but at some type of an angle so it hit the ground and slid through the house. i didn't try to logic it out too much.

You are correct, I've added some more stuff to make it look like the rocket "slided" on the ground after the impact which was further away from the house. That's why the holes are almost equally big on both sides.

Hey, nice hotel, how are you going to add the "story" of how it was abandoned?

Another thing, I'm using Tf2 for this and I need ep2 props, how do I get them in tf2?

Mount the ep2 gcf, see http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki ... er_Content.
I can't seem to reach the valvesoftware site atm, but it is in there somewhere.
