Another Art Battle - An Interlopers Banner

Yup. Another art battle, again Interlopers related.

Create a new Interlopers banner

Wether or not Blink is going to apply it to the site, the challenge is to create new banner. So make it Interlopers worthy and make it 'stick'.

Some basic rules apply:
- you can use any skill or technique you want
- clearly, postprocessing is allowed, if not mandatory
- if you post images, please mark as w.i.p. or final.
- please do not use profanity, nudity, stuff like that, you get the idea.
- a maximum of 3 entries per person.

The battle will run for a week and ends saturday the 23rd of May at midnight UTC. Check here to see the conversion to your own timezone.

^ I left that open since Blink might change the width of the site and thus the size of the top banner. So I suggest to make it wide, but be able to crop it to this size.

Well, the new site banner will be 960px x 170px - Also text should match current banner.

I made 3 banners that would be run with random banners on.







I couldn't get the text to be exactly the same, but I think it's close enough.

The maps were created by Valve, Psy and Moroes.

I couldn't get the text to be exactly the same, but I think it's close enough.

Two ways I can think of to do this: export the text, in place, on a 960x170 transparent background as either a png or tga. Crop each background image down to size, then overlay the title png/tga on top of each.
Second method: get each background image into gimp/photoshop on it's own layer, with the text on it's own layer, on top, then unhide each background image and save the result as a separate picture, one by one.

Would it be ok if I made two entries? One with three banners that randomly alternate, one with a single banner incorporating all three banners from the first design.

Can I just add that I will more likely pick a banner that is a bit different and interesting. None of the overused "Gordon holding a crowbar" for example

Why not also make the Orange Dev banner appear there once in a while? And also the older ones.
You know, for like... old times and lolz sake.

For some reason, I was under the impression he'd take the top 10% and put them in a random rotation.
