Needs more web 2.0 features. I'm fail to understand why random banners weren't added in the first place.

What if the mod and all it's media sucks... Going to make the site look bad!

Because it's a pointless aesthetic feature, I'd prefer the fluidity and working of the site was maintained and kept ship-shape, rather than these pointless aesthetics, if we did have a rotating banner the conversation now would be there should be more banners in the rotation.

Looks good.
The changes I spotted:
- new banner - obviously
- dotted line above the news posters' name.
- you've moved the latest battle to the top <- that looks nice. does it include the battles in the subforum?
- grey arrow icons in the tutorials list <- good, but I like the old ones too
- slight color changes to the spotlight/tutorial/user cp <- seems more balanced/consistent
- more personalized user panel with icons - and an active topics link (or is that personal?) <- also better
- more width <- good

I think the battles thing should stay where it is on the current website, but make it so it includes all the battles because right now it only shows one. It would be nice if it showed all 3 of the latest for Model, Art, and Map battles.

If your just going to expand on the site, why not expand on the user profiles. Perhaps give users the option of adding maps that are working on or have finished to their profiles? This information would then be transplanted to under construction or complete maps, where they can get feedback. In addition to that, display the most recently updated levels underneath latest forum posts. Pretty simple, but there are a lot more features that could go into this.

Either way, looking good with those tweaks.

EDIT: This could also be applied to texturing, models, etc... In addition a auto linking feature in the signature of a users most recent wip perhaps?

There are a lot more things that can be added, but I'm being careful not to tread into a Myspace/FPS Banana zone.

However new things are planned but one step at a time :-)

Could I ask for reputation ranks? + - numbers for each user's post?

Not of fan of these systems because people just de-rank you for no reason and tbh some people care too much about the silly ranks.

Fair enough, but I just like the ability to get a general idea of how each post I make has on the community, not really to have my own rank or anything of the sort.

How about adding a "thanks!" button to each post, similar to what the Ubuntu forums have done?
i had fun once, and it was awful.
