a sub forum like this will NEVER be started because of a request... the way to get this kind of thing to happen is to start discussing Verse development in the usual forums and with enough interest it will snowball and get its own section to stop the interested parties from cluttering up the Source editing sections with Verse threads.

I'd be interested in seeing this crop up as well. I'm still learning it as well but it seems like one would need some help learning how to use it properly. It does seem like a good chance to bring a new bit along to the site and teach those interested in it.

Also having unreal map discussion would probably boost the site popularity.
Popularity with the wrong people though. It's still mainly a source site. I'm not too sure I'd want to have a group of UT3 people and a group of Source people on the same website with their own separate "cliques" for lack of a better word.

Indeed; Jister and I played with it and it's quite amazing that you can work on the same scene realtime; the gui is awesome and it's entirely open source :o

It's amazing.
Multiplayer mapping ftw.

Sounds like we ought to buy Mafia Wars and modify it so that it's Software Developer Wars.

They aren't really too different of communities, I mean look at mapcore which has that going on for it. I don't think it's the best example, but what I am getting at is beyond level design help / tutorials / discussion, they're a very similar community. It isn't like a completely different genre of game engine!
