I think I'm going ot start my entry now, does anyone know a good way to record a time lapse of my screen, without recording at normal speed then speeding it up later?

With WME there's some awesome stuff you can do; possibly that.

Camtasia and probably most other screen capture software (WME included I'm sure) let you choose the framerate, so if you capture at 1 frame a second and then make your video 24 frames a second that should be fine. That would be x24 speed, so with that in mind you can scale it however you want.

This is just a theory though, I haven't tried. :D

Edit: Now that I think about it that technique might only apply to capturing a series of images. So in that case just take a bunch of screen shots and use something like VirtualDub to string the images together in a video.

Here is my entry and once agian I have no idea how to tell how many triangles were produced but it took me about 45 minutes to produce it. While, yes it is a loging saw I figure that if one can use a chainsaw to gloriusly and bloodily liberate enemys from their appendages, a skillfull and athletic team (or crew if you perfer) of two could use a two person loging saw to even more gloriusly and bloodily dismember people.

Counted it by hand (2 sections of 9 quads each, 9 sections of 12 quads each), should be 276 tris. Can you work a little more on this? maybe make the handles cylinders or give them notches for the fingers? Or increase the resolution of the sawblade. It isn't really looking like a saw to me, in fact I though it was part of a roof at first.

Also what program are you using? Blender? Can't you just google how to find out polygon counts? It couldn't take more than 5 minutes man seriously.

NBRXNN: You can find number of faces in 3d view header next to blender version number (FA:), double it and youve got estimation how many tris youve got. To get precise number convert quads to tris in edit mode and look at the how many faces youve got.
