I'll volunteer to deliver it. I can walk there on my lunch break. But I'd have to walk in quietly with a nice suit and do my bad impression of the G-man voice. It also seems a bit more inclusive to other mods.

Also it will have less chance of you being tazed/tackled by some scary security guard...

Or being shot by automated sentry turrets surounding Gabes Office!!!
Or being stabbed in the back by Gabe's army of Ninjas....

Everyone I would like to just add something.

If I misspell something please ignore it or point it out in a comment, As both times a Loper has corrected me I knew of the issue and I only ignore it when I am in the middle of something else.

Right now I'm expecting my connection to be shut off again soon, although it might have been fixed.
You should understand I do try my best to spell correctly for ya guys.

I spell to fast for my own good XD.

I will aim to create the new group tonight before we get 100 strong.

So continue to brain storm ideas for the permanent name.

Must be coherent, Display our goals and easy to read/say.
(Bonus points for an awesome abbreviation.)

This topic is in serious discussion for a reason guys; no more jokey name suggestions please.

Blink wrote:I think the first thing would be to collate a list of the actual issues affecting the SDK and how it impacts development of maps.

[...]if Valve were to listen they would at least want to see a structured list of problems, things affected and possible solutions.

That kind of stuff can be gathered from the thread and then possibly added to the group as a structured list.
Then the group will be represent an proposed solution rather than just a batch of unhappy level designers :-)

I wholeheartedly agree with what Blink suggests, and would like to invite people to submit all the problems they can think of. This is not a list of bugs - this is stuff like having to edit text files to create textures, and the reasons behind the existence of all those 3rd-party SDK tools.

Usability problems which simply don't occur in the workflow of other game engine SDKs.

Chop has nailed it in one. Don't try and be fancy or smart. Keep it simple and clean with the name and logo. It needs to look the part and uncomplicated so that it is taken seriously.
