I actually think limitation is good for creativity. If we had an engine that could do everything, we would be in trouble. It gives us focus. ~~ Randy Lundeen

I just went through the UDK videos at 3DBuzz. I can attest to their awesomeness.

yeah, they are good for learning the basics, once it comes to something even slightly advanced though they aren't great.

The udk technical talk section on polycount is great. You can have you questions answered by people who work with the engine everyday and know the engine extremely well. They are always very helpful and even some of the epic env-artist post in this section.

The beyond unreal forum used to be the hub for all the modders working with the unreal engine and has a backlog of threads about the 2004/2003 versions. Also has people working with the latest version so still a very good resource.

Eat 3d and 3d motive each contain some really nice dvds on the udk (although most aren't free)

Great resource if you want to get some basic explanation for some Kismet nodes (though quite old so some things are deprecated): http://www.avld.org/pages/tuts/tuts_Kismet.htm

Has some well explained UDK/UT3 tutorials: http://www.chrisalbeluhn.com/3D_Tutorials.html (also has a vertex painting material tutorial which is awesome).
