Well the average person uses 10% of their brain so it stands to reason that if someone was able to use more than that, they could in theory have an ability that others do not.

I worked with a girl who told me about he ability to see dead people. She grew up in Virginia near a bunch of civil war battlefields. She told me when she was young her dad heard her talking to someone in her room and when he came into her room and asked who she was talking to she said "A soldier". He then asked her to describe the soldier and she went on to do so. He later explained to her that he also saw the soldier she saw and apparently they both have the ability.

Any way around it though, That's a pretty cool gift you have.

You use a lot more than 10% of your brain, I think it's about 15% when you're doing nothing and 30% when you're focussed on a task. Not that it matters >.>

thats an urban myth. You use 100% of your brain, as does almost everybody else.

Indeed, which is why if a small part of your brain is damaged a lot of your major functions could cease to work. This myth is perpetuated by people who want to believe they have the potentiality in becoming something greater by accessing their "hidden talents" or whatever instead of actually trying to learn new things.

And I do think this thread is full of shit.
