39482Nice!
Tho I can't help but feel that you need a designer or something for the website as it looks very basic, the company logo being a jpg with a white background on a gray background.
While it's cool that the website links to Facebook and Twitter, it only links to Facebook and Twitter, ie no groups or anything

im sure we all share fond memories and love for the people who made these communities so vibrant and welcome. we participated in a golden age of outsider gaming: burgeoning creativity, DIY fun, and deep investment in the possibilities of interactive art. our energy lingers, diffused into an internet miasma, but these spaces are left as relics.
i don't mod games, i don't like valve, and i don't lose sleep over the next half life game. - but i'm still an interloper. this community left a mark on me. it's something i'll carry forever love you guys.

Re: RandomThread II
39487I think what I don't like the most about the modern internet/modding scene is that communities are so impersonal, stuff like Reddit and Twitter I never really notice the same screen names and build up my friends list like I did with these types of forums.
Re: RandomThread II
39488yeah, absolutely, I've never made an friend on reddit or twitter, but made a good few here.

39493I'm 22 now, I joined this community when I was 11. Time flies. I certainly wouldn't be who I am without the people I met here and I'm glad it's still around to be remembered.
Chop's adage that our energies have been dispersed across the internet and the larger world is a beautiful one.

39494Wow,
interlopers still kicking around. I've been coming here since the early 2000's...

Re: RandomThread II
39495Glad to see it's still active! I came back to the Half Life games after ... finishing a large market analysis around this property in Hungary Lake Balaton villas and dealing with a mild case of burnout! I got a week off, searched for something cool and pleasant to do, and found that HL1 and 2 were on Steam... So, it's great to see that the forum is still open for "old gamers" who miss their teenage years!
