3I can't breath :O
Highlight to read:If only it was for Ep2, CS:GO or other "normal" games
Re: Dota 2 Workshop Tools Alpha Release
4So are these really the Source 2 tools, as some claim? Does that mean that DotA 2 has been ported to Source 2? Is the world ending?
Re: Dota 2 Workshop Tools Alpha Release
5This is just a tools update to allow access to engine functionality that people besides valve previously lacked. There is some very interesting features in this new hammer, including a new mesh system to replace bsp entirely.

10quick test to see how usefull the mesh tools are, it's crude and misses a few usefull functions

Re: Dota 2 Workshop Tools Alpha Release
11Why did it have to be DOTA???!
I hear the modeling tools are based on Modo, so they should be pretty damn powerful as far as low poly mesh construction goes.

12How small can you go with vertices? Basically, can we finally stop making 6-faced-door-arches-from-2004?
Does the new Hammer have any floating point rounding errors?

Re: Dota 2 Workshop Tools Alpha Release
13I don't think it does. Brushes are gone, it's all meshes now, you can make them concave if you want. You can actually move the grid, rotate it, and build on any weird arbitrary angle.Mehis wrote:How small can you go with vertices? Basically, can we finally stop making 6-faced-door-arches-from-2004?
