This will be my final shots for this map battle, I was planning to create more content etc but I wasn't able to due the lack of inspiration and time.And I have no time to work on it today and the battle ends tomorrow.
Basically my entry is an Alien base located on a planet far away from earth, the aliens have built several bases surrounded by walls that are used for protection.
And BTW every single entry or WIP in this thread looks really good, so keep up the good work :)
I'm looking forward to the next battle :D

I figure since I had nothing better to do last night I spent 20mins on something I could contribute to the battle. Even though theres is next to nothing there, no architecture or nothing, I'm still posting this for laughs and giggles.

It's more an attempt to set an certain mood/feeling to a scene rather then trying to create some sort of über-architecture contribution to the battle. ( I would if I had time, but I just got my games and SDK to work last night )

Oh and it's final... I guess.

Haha I'm going to be so pissed if you win off of that... Looks nice though, even though it's really simple. Only thing I don't like is that fishing boat, even though it's one of the 2 things in the entire scene lol

If I win with that entry I'll never come back in here. I really just added it to give a little variation in the battle.

And the fishing boat is there because I think it gives the scenario more effect. That a couple of fishermen encounter this weird alien... something, while they are out there. (I really don't know what this diamond thingy is supposed to be... but that also ads to the drama)

FINALS

I may think of making this an SP map, based on a combine island or something. It would take a lot of optimization, but I think it would be fun. I would make like an underground core thing and make the island slightly bigger. Anyone interested in playing something like that?

Kodox: is that the combine homeoworld? :) Looks nice, gives me an arcadish feel.

Zipfinator - very nice, if I told you to improve something it would be the interior. A tad bit too dark and a bit bland. That is all counterbalanced by the exterior though. ;)

i honestly hope your joking zipfinator!

have you even heard of the mod MINERVA: Metastasis? if not, its basically set on a combine occupied island and has a deep core structure haha.

on another note, i was going to post a bunch of screens of my entry, but time has gotten away from me, and atm they are only dev textured. maybe ill finish them when i get a chance.

everythings looking good so far, and good luck to everyone that entered!


(p.s. this is my first post on interlopers, been lurking for quite some time now haha)
