I like what you've got marnamai, the only thing I dont think fits would be the hotel sign and maybe closing the gap between the two buildings on the right.

I 've deleted the hotel sign, added a larger space between the 2 buildings on the right and made a little canal there.

@ thefight: Only 1 custom texture, the water flow thingie on the left. All the rest is valve stuff (l4d2, loast coast)

The larger structure in the background looks far more impressive with that lighting.

That's a tough decision for me. The tower in the daytime version looks far better, but at night you basically get a silhouette of all the building behind the bridge, which isn't nearly as nice. However, I absolutely love the street lights in the nighttime version. I think the daytime version just shows off the architecture a lot better, which is what you want most.

Night time, and add a bunch of spotlights to highlight the structure at the back. They do that anyway these days.

There are spotlights allready, just not stong enough. I am working on a better nightversion that combines the best of both, atmosphere from the night and the "impressiveness" of the day. Reduced the fog a little aswell so less detail is lost in the background.
