I was really leaning towards Reeke's until xysdf's entry, pure eye candy with such a clean way about it. The displacements are glorious!! Congrats to all.

This was a badass turn out. Props to the mappers, I enjoyed watching this thread. Wish I had the time to participate.

I thought the first shot of xysdf's map was beautiful but overall it definetly has to go to Reeke. The fog, the textures, the brush work, and the lighting. It is purely amazing. Probably the most beautiful map I have ever seen, overall. Reeke, you have to release that map. It is too good to just sit in Hammer.

Though it does look great, that doesent mean it has good game play. The maps dont even need to be playable. What do you think are you going to release it Rekee?

I don't know if he was commenting on the map (i.e. distasteful as in badly made) or the setting of the map (distasteful as in something bad happened there recently)...

I meant it in an fugly way, as in not you. Well it may still be you, but it isn't trust me. You did a nice work but I just prefer the subtle atmosphere reeke had.

I just thought u meant distasteful as in something bad has happened in france recently and i shouldn't have made a map set in france, just like people shouldn't make twin towers maps. But you didn't mean it that way so it's all good..

xysdf was in the lead with about 10 votes, so reeke has caught up pretty well. They have 84% of the votes between them as of now.

Well at least i have one more vote than last time, maybe i'll get 4 votes in map battle 4, as i got 3 in map battle 3, and 2 in map battle 2 lol. If i bother entering the next one

I cant wait untill the next one comes out. Its always cool to see what the next one is. Though I probably wont enter because I did so horrably in this one. But il still do it for fun.
