Alfred Pennyworth

Postby AlfredPennyworth on Mon Jul 05, 2010 4:08 pm

Hi there.

My name's Alfred Pennyworth, but you may call me Alfred or Al, as you wish. I hope you'd already figured out this is not my real name. Anyway that doesn't really matter. I'm a student in Art and Digital Design in Video Games at Centre Nad, a school in Montreal. I try to specialize myself in Level/Game Design. My mother language is French, so please forgive me if I do some writting mistakes.

I've subscribed here cuz' at school we mainly use Source SDK Engine and I'm doing my demo reel with it too. It's not the first mod I do with Hammer, even if I'm not that of a specialist. Usualy, in a team, I'm more the guy who gives all the ideas than the technical one.

So, I hope I'll enjoy sharing my work, questions and knowledge with you all.

Yeah, we're the last class to use Source this year. At the beginning of next year, they'll start teaching Unreal Engine to new students.

Much expected, really, I think it's time for me to learn Unreal very soon as well.

Welcome aboard :D

Theres a more privatized school in my area that does mainly animation of CG work, they didn't delve into it as much when I was there to see how they were running, but they were also using hammer. I showed them a map I'd made a long time ago and they wanted to sign me up as every school does, but I find more and more schools are choosing source as a teaching tool, and personally I feel that's a good thing.
