first off, this is not a big map, nor is it complex, i just wanted to dedicate a map to my two favourite things in half life 2, the combine barricades, and the sawblade

anyways, here we go, you can find it with a discription about it and a screenie at this link

Looks a bit emtpy, square and the lighting needs tweaking.

Texture work is good, but i think you should make the saw blade placment more random. Giving it a more natual feel.

Dust motes look good. The combine walls look a bit outa place.

Add more detail and smooth the brush work out a bit so the corners are not so obvious and harsh.

Keep up the good work.

right, taken that into account, ive made it version 0.9 B, so that leaves room for improvement, you can get it here http://www.pcgamemods.com/8930/ and for now, im off to carry on with my art coursework then ill get back to this map :D(oh btw, the blades stick into the walls  )
btw does anyone know how to make the prop_static light in the center unlit? because the shadow on it does make it a bit fugly

the texture work is the worst part, at least by the screenie, he is using the same texture for the floor and walls.. a good texture work it's a bit more then that imo

aww i liked the texture work i did on it

come to think of it i might add a few overlays and decals to break up the repetition in the wall texture

right, so far so good, ive rounded off the corners, added health stations in the "observer" rooms, im about to hang up the sawblades on little pegs and ive added a little ironic sign... now, does anyone think i should add some blood?
