I experimented with taking some very high-res screenshots of some locations in The Core. Whatcha think?

Your work never fails to completely astound me, pk. The fact that something that good-looking can come of an ancient engine like GoldSrc blows my mind. Excuse me while I go pick up my jaw.

I recommend taking more high-res screenshots. They really help to bring out the beauty you've constructed.

Looking great for hl1 :-D Still think it was a waste of time putting so much effort into an old engine. But none the less can't wait to play it! :smt041

I disagree. This would look great in a portfolio in my opinion.

Looking good, but I'd suggest rotating the wood plank texture on the platform by 90 degrees, so that the length covers the shorter side. Might break it up a bit better.

Looking good, I'd suggest getting rid of those concrete pillars underneath those lights, they look a bit weird. Image Something like this, and also adding a gazebo like structure on the boardwalk would look sweet. Image If you added stores along the boardwalk with the beach you could board up the windows and really bring out a post apocalyptic feel to the scene. For some additional details destroy parts of the boardwalk like a boat just crashed into the side of it. I'm pretty sure there's a boat model in NMRIH. This could really be a cool location can't wait to see more....

Way ahead of you, Knight.

I wasn't going to show these, as they are really unfinished, but they should strike you as familiar.
