Glad to see the comunity doing well after I last visited, years ago ...
I have a bit of a unussual request ... There was this really great level design blog, written by a guy who was working on a single player map/mod. The topics of his articles followed his progress with building the map. He talked about how you can make linear maps look open and free, how you can guide the player using sound and lightning, what makes a map feel dynamic and not blocky, how good scripted sequences work ... I remember there was an article on constructing standoffs there too. This was all from about 4 years ago ...
Now the thing is, I can't remember what the blog was called or who wrote it, and I'd really apreciate it if someone who knows about it would let me know
