The chambers aren't full or muons, they just detect ones that are created in a collision. "Compact muon solenoid" still doesn't make sense.

This thread is losing it's purpose. Perhaps someone wants to help me on mapping or on texture making.

What's the purpose of this mod Jean Marcel?

Is it a realistic simulation of an average working day at CERN, or what?
Mappers Top Tip #548
Lighting: The arrangement, hue and intensity of one or multiple light sources.
Lightning: A dazzling discharge of electric sparks in the atmosphere, often preceding thunder.

No. Just no.
Don't attempt to make a mod around this theme.
Just don't.

As real as Gordon Freeman's first working day at Black Mesa. One thing we happened to learn in Half-Life: Don't let the player press a buttun to turn on a big machine. It won't work as expected.

why not, everybody fantasizes about the 'LHC experiment gone wrong' scenario
and at least he did some work and showed some stuff :)
unlike other people that join and try to recruit people because they have a 'cool' idea

It does look pretty great as a recreation, could use some polish though. This is a great idea!

He is right. I decided to work on this theme because it went popular in a contest in FPSB and also in the internet. Probably I can do the mod all by myself in one year or more, but if people decide to help it can come out a lot greater, since I'm not a texture artist neither a model designer. But I'll do what I can to get this finished.

So what are the plans for gameplay and storyline? Is there going to be any shooting involved..? Hopefully it won't be as cheesy as: A black hole is created and Xenians are transported to the circuit; you have to shoot them all. I will definitely play through this when it's released, but generating meaningful gameplay out of the setting is going to be a challenge ^^
