HL hitbox have always been known to be crap. :(

 <--that's all I have to say.
Made me think though, does anyone know what would happen if you had a door set to force open and there was so much crap behind the door that it would have to litterally push stuff through a wall to open--would it still find a way to magically open or would it die trying

The objects would probably get merged inside of each other then shoot out somewhere at a fast speed.

Why does valve find hitboxes so damn necessary? Would it be possible to use the model itself as a hitbox?

exactly what i was thinking. the hitboxes in CS Source are pretty damn dodgy too, it there some kind of general limitation to the hitboxes? or are both the CS and the HL2 team too lazy to bother properly?
