I'm stuck at work desperate to play, but I got as far as the first city square area and was amazed by the animations and graphics etc. I'm sure I'll have more to say tonight

People said the Halo 2's story was dissapointing but it was great. People seem to hate cliff hanger endings but I love them. People said the same thing about the Fellowship of the Ring but look at how good the movie was. Forget those people some will instantly label a story crappy if it leaves off as a cliff hanger.

Maybe those people who managed to complete the game on the same day of the release didn't like it because they're retarded enough to do so? One can only wonder.

HL2 was excellent. it didnt take all that long to complete it, but i had so much fun doing so.
When i got to loading screens i realised just how much i was into the game when i picked up my jaw from the table, wiped the saliva from my mouth, and blinked for the first time in an hour.
I liked the story and liked the ending.
The weapons are great and the source engine really is a fantastic piece of kit. I really cant wait to see some of the mods that are going to come out of this game

Not until I have completed the game and got the HL2 SDK fired up. Oh and I need to learn all the new stuff, I had a brief look and there seems to be a lot to catch up on.
