Well in Estonia we have silly laws. Our court system seems to work FOR the criminals: criminals get months or a couple of years for doing something so there's no fear of law, and a couple of years ago there was a case where a burglar entered a house through the skylight, lost his footing and fell on a kitchen knife set. He then sued the houseowner for ATTACKING HIM and the burglar won.
I think the laws in Estonia need to bit a tad bit rougher, eh? So I support guns. At least makes you feel a bit safer in your own home. Oh and shooting for defense = manslaughter. If the cops happen to shoot for defense a good couple of YEARS of bureaucracy follow; which is the reason they don't.
Sure from one side I could see the escalation of force, yet from the other side I support personal capital punishment. Err... self-defense.
