I'm hoping Valve will bring 16-man versus to life with this, but it seems more like 8-man cooperative is on the horizon. If any of you haven't played a 16-man versus game in L4D1, you should really try it, although good luck finding one that's got people in it these days.

I also hope this new campaign won't be a train wreck like Crash Course was in the first game. Terrible...and wasn't it supposed to be cross-playable between l4d and l4d2?

I think the chances of all four Midnight Riders being immune and carrier-free is 1 in a billion.

Therefore, it obviously has to be the case.

NO! None of this. It took them nearly 8 months to release crash course. They can release and new DLC every month if they wish, as long as they actually release SOMETHING THIS TIME!
It's quite simple really. I want to be a professional level designer. I want this to be my job.

crash course came a bit late I agree
but Im not even sick of the game yet so :)

its after deadcenter right? so we have the same starting vehicle as the escape vehicle seeing they arrive with it in dark carnival... I guess there will be allot of back tracking in this campaign :(

The backtracking in Hard Rain is the reason why Hard Rain is my favorite campaign. I like The Parish, but only for the bridge finale (it's the funnest). Hard Rain's finale was somewhat lame since the place you actually stake out at was kind of small and puny.

I think the carnival is my favorite. There is just so much great content in there it is hard to beat. But I have to say, I am not even close to tired of the game. I think the idea behind releasing something so quick is to keep it fresh for as long as possible. Though releasing the SDK will do that...

Well you can't deny the fact that it has the most awesome weather effects.

Yeah, Hard Rain and the weather effect is freaking AWESOME for sure. I really am looking forward to the new content because of what they did with each campaign having special infected and each one has its own feel. Hopefully this new one will follow that and have some really good new stuff.

I would actually like to see snow effects like that. Like a light snow turn into a blizzard with crazy wind.

I probably fancy Parish above other campaigns simply because it's a nice change of scenery. I mean, only because it's a zombie apocalypse it's not like the sun will never rise.. yet most zombie themed maps tend to skip this fact and get right to the dark and scary simply couse it's easier to get the atmosphere right :P Dark Carnival is my second fav

What intrigues me about this new DLC is how will they end it. Obviously if all 8 survivors meet up, it would make sense for them to stick together. So will they get separated somehow? or will the old 4 survivors get permanently killed? Looking forward to finding that out :)
