Modelling:
Post your new models, request help and generally discuss the now required skill.
Art+Design:
Textures, designs or just general advice, all in here.
Now, this kinda came up when I got chastised for posting wip textures in the modelling forum, but it generally seems like a good idea. Why are these 2 forums separate? Models and textures should go together. In fact, hardly anything gets posted in the A+D forum other than requests for VMT help, and there are a lot of HL2 compiling threads in the modelling forum.
My proposition is this:
Merge the Modelling/Art + Design forums into some kind of "custom content" forum, where only models and textures (wip or finished) are posted for pimping or help with the actual model/textures.
Create a new forum for dealing with issues / asking for help importing models and textures (maybe other things also?) into the Source engine.
This allows us to keep the art, and the engine-specific issues separate. It also allows easier support for other game engines in future (if that is ever decided to happen).
